  • 1 oz Jamaican rum
  • 1 oz fernet branca
  • 1 oz pineapple juice

Verdict

Looking at this recipe, you probably think "this is going to taste like a bit glass of Fernet". However, when you drink it, there's a moment when you actually taste all the stuff in balance and harmony... and then the prophecy comes true, and it's a big glass of Fernet. It can be rescued somewhat with some simple syrup. I might have added 0.5 to 0.75 Oz simple, given it a stir, and ended up with something that wasn't half bad. Adding the sugar let's the pineapple come through a bit more. Rum is still nowhere to be found. I even used oftd for this to try to balance out the intensity of the Fernet, but it's still elusive.
